On Sunday, 21 December was scheduled for the Annual Day of St. Xavier’s School, Chantipali, Baramkela, at 12.30 PM, with Mrs. Satyabhama Manohar Nayak, President, Nagar Panchayat, Baramkela, as the Chief Guest; Dr. Vidya Kishore Chauhan, President, Janpad Panchayat, Baramkela; Mr. Naresh Kumar Chauhan, Principal, Sages, Nodel Officer, Fr. William Beck, SJ, Principal Jeevan Dhara of High School, Mauhapali, and Guests of Honour graced the occasion. In her address, she praised the school management and the staff for the quality academic results and the activities of the school. She also informed the audience of the importance of education in good schools like St. Xavier’s School, Baramkela. Students from Nursery to class IX performed amazing stage programs like dance, drama, speeches, skits on different themes like social media, environment, education, politics, and cultural unity in diversity, etc.
Fr. Prabhunarayan Khalkho, SJ, Principal, summarized the annual activities of the school; talented students were awarded with trophies and certificates for their excellent academic performance in the previous year. The guests were honoured with a shawl and a memento. More than 2000 audience members enjoyed the program in pin-drop silence from 12.30 PM to 4.00 PM. At the end of the program, Fr. Suresh Tirkey, SJ, Vice Principal, thanked the students, staff, parents, and the audience for their active participation.
